Three Graphs: Lincoln County Voter Registration Trends Since 2000 – the Rise of the Non-Affiliated Voter

The graph below shows the number of registered voters for Lincoln County’s three largest political parties from 2001 to 2025. Non-Affiliated voters make up the largest segment of voters in the county since 2021, and that loosely mirrors a national trend of growing disaffection with both major parties.

The graph below represents the total number of registered voters in Lincoln County since 2001. In addition to Democrat, Republican and Non-Affiliated, many smaller political parties make up the county’s political landscape to include, Libertarian, Pacific Green, Progressive, Americans Elect, Working Families, Constitution, Socialist, Communist, Families party, and Other.

Nationwide, since 2009, Non-Affiliated or Independent voters make up the largest segment of the voting public.
