Pacific Seafood is proud to announce a new partnership with the Newport Food Pantry. Through this collaboration, Pacific Seafood is supporting the pantry’s mission by donating high-quality, locally sourced seafood to individuals and families experiencing food insecurity. To date, Pacific Seafood has provided 900 pounds of Oregon Coast wild-caught Coldwater Pink Shrimp, delivering an easy-to-prepare, nutrient-rich protein to the community.

“With kindness and hope, Newport Food Pantry is committed to providing food for Lincoln County residents facing food insecurity,” said Brian Rose, Board Member of Newport Food Pantry. “Thanks to Pacific Seafood’s generous donation, we are able to offer a delicious, healthy protein source that is both versatile and locally familiar to our coastal community.”

The donated Coldwater Pink Shrimp are fully cooked and ready to eat, making them ideal for those without access to full kitchen facilities. Whether served in salads, tacos, pasta, or enjoyed on their own, these shrimp provide a quick, protein-packed, and nourishing meal that reflects the bounty of the Oregon Coast.

At the heart of Newport Food Pantry’s mission is a simple belief: everyone in the community should have access to food when they need it. The pantry offers a warm welcome to all, without income checks, ID requirements, or geographic restrictions. Open every Tuesday from 2:30 to 4:00 p.m., the pantry is ready to serve new guests with compassion and dignity.

Newport Food Pantry strives to provide each household with enough food to last 4-7 days. “We understand that life can sometimes be challenging, and members of our community may need a little help,” said Rose. “That’s why we give our guests the ability to select the food items they need, typically 20 to 30 items, including fresh produce and bread, so they get what they want while reducing unnecessary waste.”

Recently, Newport Food Pantry launched its Adopt a Family initiative, inviting community members to directly support Lincoln County households in need. With a commitment of just $25 per week, donors can help feed a family of four. Contributions may be made by mailing a donation to the address below or through a secure PayPal link, which can be found by clicking “give” on the food pantry’s website.

This partnership between Newport Food Pantry and Pacific Seafood underscores the power of local collaboration and the shared values of compassion, community, and sustainability. Pacific Seafood is honored to support organizations like Newport Food Pantry that strengthen the health and dignity of the communities where they live and operate.

Newport Food Pantry extends its heartfelt thanks to all partners who help nourish the Newport community with kindness, hope, and care.
