Patti Murphy

As a retired family and social justice Attorney, Patti Murphy has lived in
Lincoln County since 2009. She participated with her husband Lawrence (Larry),
a lifelong disability advocate, in Leadership Lincoln 2010-2011 and has been
active in the community ever since, shepherding her three adoptive children
through years of 4H, Bright Horizons horseback program and Peace Village
involvement as well as CERT (Community Emergency Response Team) training in
2018. As a Catholic Christian, she believes in living a faith-based life.

Today, Patti serves as Vice-Chairperson of the KYAQ Board, emphasizing
grant writing, fundraising and volunteer recruitment. She is especially committed
to the KYAQ CARES (Community Access Radio Emergency Services) Project;
she and her son have been Board Members of DEMAC (Disability Emergency
Management Advisory Committee—OEM, OHA, DHS) since 2020 and she is now
Co-Chairperson. Together they are also working toward developing an
Independent Living Center, Cascadia Alliance Center 4 Independence, to serve the
Oregon Coast. Meanwhile, she enjoys living with her grown kids, pets and wildlife
on a small homestead near Siletz, reading, writing and networking with others,
community building and inclusion advocacy.
