Ernie Hopseker

Ernie Hopseker has lived in Newport since 2001.  He has sixty years of experience in radio broadcasting, having been a Disc Jockey, Program Director, Chief Engineer, Corporate Director of Engineering and owner or partner in nine radio companies, and certified by the Society of Broadcast Engineers as a Professional Broadcast Engineer #50518.

He is currently president of Radio Beam LLC, a radio consulting company.  His goal is to expand the signal of KYAQ-FM with a translator in Lincoln City in order to add an unserved area to KYAQ’s broadcast range and give Lincoln City needed information in case of an emergency.  This helps develop Lincoln City for KYAQ as the only public station dedicated to all of Lincoln County and the well-being of its residents.
